Aurora is a PortaTron cassette pack built around the 4-track format as a compositional tool — 13 cassettes, each containing 4 tracks of complementary analog synth material designed to be layered together. The content spans Melodic Soundscapes, Drones, Leads, Pads, and SFX, all drawn from an organic analog synthesis signal chain. The material is designed to co-exist within a cassette and across cassettes. Tracks within each cassette share harmonic and timbral relationships, so layering all 4 simultaneously produces a coherent texture rather than a collision. Across cassettes, the sonic identity stays consistent enough that content from different cassettes can be combined without obvious tonal mismatch.
