Field Notes is a PortaTron cassette pack built from ambient loops recorded with the Teenage Engineering OP-1 Field — the instrument's built-in microphone and field recording capabilities used alongside its synthesis engine to capture nature-infused textures that sit between organic field recording and deliberate synthesis. The 13 cassettes each contain 4 tracks of complementary material — Ambient Soundscapes, Drones, Leads, Pads, and Nature Sounds — designed to be layered together within Portatron's 4-track architecture. The blend of recorded nature material and synthesized sound gives the content a textural specificity that pure synthesis packs don't have — the room, the environment, and the acoustic space are present in the recordings. The material is optimized for ambient scoring, meditation and wellness production, and any context where organic texture and natural atmosphere are priorities over rhythmic or melodic foreground content. 13 cassettes. 4 tracks each. 350+ MB.
