The collection
AetherFlow is a PortaTron cassette pack built around a specific technique: layering slow-moving analog and modular synth drones across Portatron's 4-track architecture to build evolving chord structures that breathe and shift without a fixed tempo anchor. The approach is directly inspired by Alessandro Cortini's 4-track work β using the cassette format not as a playback device but as a compositional instrument. The 45+ textures are organized across 40+ cassettes, each with up to 4 tracks of complementary material. The loops run 60 seconds or longer and are not tempo-locked, which means they work equally well as underscoring material, ambient bed textures, or as the harmonic foundation of a more structured arrangement. Source material is exclusively analog and modular synthesis β no digital shortcuts in the signal chain. The result is chord movement that has genuine weight and warmth rather than the thin, static quality of most pad packs. 45+ textures. 40+ cassettes. 700+ MB. Formatted for Robotic Bean's Portatron. Also available as WAV.

FAQs
Alessandro Cortini is known for building dense, evolving harmonic textures by layering slow-moving synth loops across multiple tracks of a 4-track cassette machine. AetherFlow applies the same principle to Portatron's 4-track architecture β each cassette contains 4 complementary layers designed to be played simultaneously.
Yes β all loops are 60 seconds or longer and are not cut to a BPM grid. They work as free-floating harmonic material in any context, tempo-locked or not.
Yes β AetherFlow is available in both PortaTron Cassette format and standard stereo WAV.
Exclusively analog and modular synthesizers. No digital instruments or samples in the signal chain.
