Beta Retrowave Melodics Vol. 1 & 2 are PortaTron cassette packs built from analog synth loops recorded direct to VHS and 4-track tape β the signal chain is analog from source to delivery, which gives the material the warmth, saturation, and subtle instability that digital emulations don't replicate. Each volume is organized as 3 construction kits, each kit containing 4 cassettes of complementary material: Bass, Arps, Leads, Pads, and SFX. The construction kit format means the content within each kit is harmonically and rhythmically matched β designed to be layered together as a complete arrangement foundation or used individually as loop sources. The sonic territory is '80s synthwave and electroclash β vintage poly synth tones, sequenced arpeggios, and melodic leads with tape saturation and era-appropriate processing. Vol. 1 and Vol. 2 cover distinct kit content and are designed as companion volumes rather than duplicates. Vol. 1: 12 cassettes, 3 construction kits.
