"...IT'S A DELIGHTFUL EXPERIENCE I MUST SAY. YOU MADE GOOD USE OF LOOPS, THE DELAY EFFECT, EVEN THE SUB OSCILLATOR AT VARIOUS POINTS. THERE IS A SINGLE PLOP IN SOME SAMPLES, WHICH ACTUALLY ADDS A BIT OF LIFE. VERY NICE TOUCH. SOME OF THE MELODY SAMPLES TURN INTO HARMONIES. SOME PATCHES SEEM TO PUSH GRAIN STEALING TO EXPLOIT THE PERIODIC OSCILLATING BEHAVIOR WHEN HITTING MAX GRAINS PER VOICE. WHICH CAN BE A NICE THING, DEFINITELY."

The collection
Particles is a preset collection built around source material diversity — 32 patches for the Tasty Chips GR-1 that draw from an intentionally broad range of inputs: Buchla synthesizer recordings, vintage cassette tape captures, wildlife field recordings, and vintage synthesizer material. The GR-1's polyphonic granular engine processes each source differently, producing textures that reflect the character of the original material while being transformed into something distinctly granular. The 32 presets cover cinematic soundscapes, experimental electronica, and evolving textural material. Source loops run 30 to 70 seconds — long enough for the GR-1's granular playhead to explore meaningfully without looping artifacts. The collection was developed in direct dialogue with the GR-1's capabilities: grain stealing, sub oscillator behavior, delay effects, and loop manipulation are all used deliberately across the patches. The Tasty Chips team have heard the collection and described their experience with it directly — that feedback is reproduced on the product page. 32 presets. 85+ MB. 30–70 second source material. Compatible with Tasty Chips GR-1.

FAQs
A deliberately diverse palette — Buchla synthesizer recordings, vintage cassette tape captures, wildlife field recordings, and vintage synthesizer material. The variety of sources is what gives the collection its tonal range.
30 to 70 seconds per loop — long enough for the GR-1's granular engine to work with meaningfully without obvious looping artifacts.
Yes — the Tasty Chips team heard the collection and provided feedback during development. Their response is reproduced on the product page.
Grain stealing, sub oscillator behavior, delay effects, and loop manipulation are all used deliberately across the 32 patches.
